B2B Realty, a rapidly growing property management and real estate brokerage firm, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Automation Engineer to join our dynamic remote team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable automation solutions that streamline operations across various departments, including Sales, Leasing, Maintenance, Finance, HR, and Support.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify manual and repetitive processes and replace them with efficient, technology-driven workflows.
Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, data accuracy, and service delivery across the organization.
Note: This is a fully remote position.
Candidates must be able to work during U.S. business hours (EST).
Responsibilities
Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone workflows across departments and propose automation solutions.
Design and implement scalable, end-to-end automation pipelines using scripting, APIs, or low-code platforms.
Integrate third-party SaaS tools (e.g., CRMs, ERPs, communication platforms) through RESTful APIs and automation tools.
Build lightweight applications or bots to assist in support, maintenance coordination, leasing processes, utility billing, and communications.
Maintain internal databases, dashboards, and integrations for accuracy, compliance, and performance.
Manage and schedule automated jobs (e.g., cron jobs, cloud functions) to support time-sensitive operations.
Work with tools like Zapier, Make, and Google Apps Script to implement low-code automations.
Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
Monitor and optimize automation performance and address bugs, inefficiencies, or new use cases.
Maintain documentation for automations, workflows, and integrations.
- Stay updated on the latest tools, technologies, and best practices in automation and system integration.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or system integration.
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and experience building API-based integrations.
Hands-on experience with Google Apps Script and G-Suite integrations.
Familiarity with DevOps-lite practices such as cron jobs, cloud functions, and scheduled tasks.
Experience with databases (SQL, Airtable, or equivalent).
Knowledge of automation platforms such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), or similar tools.
Systems thinking and the ability to map complex workflows into logical, automated processes.
Strong communication skills for gathering requirements, stakeholder collaboration, and solution delivery.
Experience with AppFolio (AF) and LeadSimple (LS) is a plus.
