The Position

We are looking for SQA Automation Analyst to join our engineering team.

This role bridges the gap between development and quality assurance — ideal for someone who can write code to test software quality, ensure reliability across APIs and UI, and drive automation initiatives.

You'll collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to build and maintain a world-class testing framework and ensure the quality of our applications end-to-end.

The selected individuals will work out of the Contour Software Karachi resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI and API layers.
  
  

• Build, enhance, and execute automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  
  

• Test RESTful APIs using tools like Postman and TestMo, ensuring robust coverage

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing

• Collaborate with developers to identify, isolate, and resolve defects early in the lifecycle.
  
  

• Participate in code reviews, contributing to quality standards and testability discussions.
  
  

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation for complex systems.
  
  

• Work across teams — including Product, QA, and Project Management — to ensure timely and accurate releases.
  
  

• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, automation strategies, and quality metrics.
  
  

• Support releases by validating production deployments and monitoring post-release issues.
  
  

• Passionate about uncovering edge cases and ensuring software performs flawlessly under all conditions.
  
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing across multiple platforms.
  
  

• Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python).
  
  

• Experience testing both UI and API layers of complex applications.
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Postman and TestMo (or similar test management tools).
  
  

• Proven experience implementing and maintaining automated test suites within CI/CD

• Pipelines such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  
  

• Deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  
  

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
  
  

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented test scripts.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the payments, fintech, or transaction processing domains.
  
  

• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2).
  
  

• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) or microservice architectures.
  
  

• Experience with test reporting and metrics visualization.
