StateBank of PakistanExcellent Career Opportunities State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for following contractual positions in IT Operations Department.Database AdministratorKey responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:Assist the unit head in planning, organizing and controlling database administration activities.Assist unit head in providing Production & Development Database Administration (DBA) support for Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server database and Core Banking applications experience will be preferred.Basic understanding with LINUX and Windows operating system.Monitor and analyze database system performance (e.g., stress volume), perform database systems testing, performance and tuning.Assist in performing configuration monitoring and proactively reviews statistics for errors, capacity and performance issues of production and development databases.Perform disaster recovery periodic drills for mock testing and live operations of databases and applications.Receive support queries from different business stakeholders for application and database related issues.Participate in the scheduled DR drills for business applications Systems for effective business continuity planning.Assist the Unit/Divisional Heads in reviewing the existing applications and share/suggest refinements and improvements to ensure that the most efficient methods are employed.Assist in various departmental projects’ information gathering, project implementation and post implementation support.Undertake and complete any other technology/IT systems related task/s assigned by the superior. Education: Must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree with 16 years of education IT / Computer Science / Computer engineering system or related area from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university. Age: Maximum 35 years, as on the last date to submit application. Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in relevant field. Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:Perform shift duty according to duty roaster at data center facility for 24x7 operations.Monitors IT infrastructure environment i.e. (Devices, Links, Servers and Routers).Perform procedures for timely completion of end-of-day operations of various business applications.Resolve operational and close of business operations (COB) issues with the coordination of technical teams.Execute data backup jobs of various systems as per SOP or as directed.Maintain logbook of keys issuance to authorized persons only.Generate desired reports for different users as per procedures or as directed.Monitor temperature of UPS rooms and data centers and readiness status of related fire detection and suppression systems.Coordinate with the concerned hardware engineers / vendors under the supervision of data center supervisor to resolve any issues with the IT equipment.Manage access control of data center and associated locations as per procedures. Maintain and manage visitors / vendors logs.Monitoring of Internet links bandwidth utilization, and inform concern team or vendor for any unusual chocks or downtime in Internet services.Share hourly and weekly reports of all Internet links of SBP to concerned teams.Perform any other work assigned by the supervisor. Education: Must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree with 16 years of education Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Systems / Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university. Age: Maximum 35 years, as on the last date to submit application. Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in operations of medium size data center of a reputable organization. Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:Planning, engineering, and monitoring the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems.Work closely with information security team to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot technologies and expected to identify, diagnose, and resolve network security issues.Collate, prepare and present comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further network security enhancement.Set and maintain protocols and processes and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network and security infrastructureTest and check system for weaknesses in software configurations and hardwareImplement policies for allocating administrative tasks; keeping on top of audit logs to flag suspicious activity; and devising network password procedures.Configure, manage and monitor Site to Site and Remote Access VPNDefining and maintaining security policies.Administer Authentication, Authorization and Accounting ServersdUpgrade Operating Systems of Network devices for vulnerability compliances.Implement Wireless LAN security ControlsManage and monitor Network Intrusion Preventions SystemsResearch and implement latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system.Implement best practices related to network security controlsSLA monitoring and compliances related to Network Security Devices Education: Must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree with 16 years of education in Computer Science / Telecom Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university and CCNA and CCNP security certification. Age: Maximum 35 years, as on the last date to submit application. Experience: Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in overseeing operations of Networks Security. Preference will be given to candidates having hands on experience of configuration and management of enterprise firewalls and gateway devices, administration and management of Network Admission Control (NAC) and hands on experience on Next Generation Firewalls Competitive compensation package, as per State Bank rules.
