This job description enlists the duties and responsibilities of the Resident Engineer to manage Virtual Infrastructure Operations. Provide level 2 support for Hyper-V and VMWare virtual Infrastructure and coordination with product principles i.e. VMWare, Microsoft, and HP. Administer, design and deployment of different Virtual Infrastructure i.e. VMware and Hyper-V products. Performance tuning and capacity planning of virtual and physical infrastructure. Virtual Infrastructure High Availability, SRM, DRS, Resource Pool, RDM, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and MSCS configuration and troubleshooting. Management of vSwitch, Dynamic vSwitch, ports groups, security, and teaming. VI systems load & performance monitoring and reporting. Reporting and maintaining the relevant SOPs, KPIs, and SLAs. Performance Measurement Standards (Quantitative/Qualitative) As per defined KPIs and SOPs by using tools like vCenter and SCVMM. As per defined KPIs using different reporting tools of virtual infrastructure monitoring and reporting like VeeamONE. Documentation, SOPs, and change management. Timely completion of relevant documentation and change fulfillment. Ensure the smooth running of 24x7 operation.
